934 Fest 2022

For 2022’s 934Fest, I was given free rein to develop the show’s identity and execute the majority of its collateral, including print and digital ads, on-site signage + wayfinding, and merch. I was given some prompts to jump off from by the featured artists, LaShae Boyd and Lynda McClanahan, and also pulled inspiration from old stereo equipment of my childhood for the typography and layouts.

A cross-generational remix

The two featured visual artists for for festival represented two distinct generations and backgrounds. I took inspiration from each, including direct imagery and layout cues from the images they provided me. I pulled typography inspo from the marks present on stereo equipment and the liner notes of albums from the 80s and early 90s to bridge the generational gaps and bring another element of music into the identity.
