934 Gallery's mission has always revolved around artists first. While the gallery has always done it's best to be equitable to exhibiting artists, in 2024 the board members and volunteers have pushed that mission forward, and are calling on the arts community, and industry as a whole as well as all those who employee creatives, to recognize and commit to the fair compensation of their work. In addition to a pledge and social media campaign, the gallery has created an artists fund to make sure that all exhibiting artists, as well as musicians and other creatives who show or perform at the gallery and its events are compensated beyond sales commissions.

100% of proceeds from sales of the 934 Pay Artist T-shirt go directly to a dedicated fund for artist compensation. Shirts were printed locally by Upright Press. Digital ads were also donated in-kind by OBM/IKE and ran across the city on their Smart City kiosks.
